A discontinuity is any point where at least one of the three continuity conditions fails. There are different types, and today's type is called 'removable' — named that because if you simply redefined the function at that one point, the break would disappear, or be 'removed.'
Common questions
Things students and parents ask us.
No — all sessions run online over video. This lets us work with students anywhere and makes scheduling easier around classes and labs. You'll need a laptop or tablet with a working camera and microphone, plus a stable internet connection.
Payment is handled per session through our booking system. We accept all major credit cards. Sessions are $30 each. There is a 4-session package at $120 if you want to pay for a month at a time, and an 8-session package at $200, which works out at $25 a session.
Tell us the course name, your school, and your textbook when you get in touch, and we will tell you straight whether it is something we can teach well. If it is outside what we cover, we will say so rather than take the booking. When it is a fit, knowing the textbook up front means the first session is not spent working out which conventions your professor uses.
You can cancel or reschedule a session and the credit goes straight back to your balance. We would rather you moved a session than sat through one at the wrong time.

Read one and decide whether that is how you want the material explained. We are not going to describe a vetting pipeline we do not run.
